Canadian system is specifically weird/broken.

Canada pretends to not want to be the USA, and yet adopted US-style leadership conventions.

This may work in a Presidential system where the branches of government can already keep each other in check, but is a corruption of the Westminster system where the Legislative Branch is intended to keep the Excutive Branch in check (including by *caucus* deciding leadership amongst themself).
