Great article. However, I think it skirts what may be a very strong argument.

I think the question needs to be reframed around 'whose law are we following?' and is it a 'just' law. I've now heard many people speak of their law. Especially in the context of unceded territory in which no treaties have been signed.

@RadicalAnthro I've listened to Sleydo' of the Wet'suwet'en speak several times. She upholds Wet'suwet'en law on her nation's unceded territory. It conflicts with some, but not all of Canadian law.
